DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
The Department of Business Administration was established in 1994, the same year as the University was founded. At that time, there were more than 1100 students enrolled in the undergraduate program. The Department initiated its first graduate program leading to Master's degree of Business Administration in 1998. The Executive Master in Business Administration program for practitioners was introduced in 1997. Right now, there are about 60 students enrolled in the regular Master's program and 90 students enrolled in the EMBA program.
The department offers basic courses in economics, statistics, and accounting, and based on students' needs and interests, the department provides comprehensive management education in a number of areas. General management, marketing management, human resource management, production and operations management, finance management and technology management are the major areas of emphasis. In addition, the department has set up the Management and Administration Research Lab for providing students with distinctive managerial skills.

Undergraduate Program
Objectives:
The objective of the Department's undergraduate program is to design and develop an adequate and relevant curriculum for training undergraduate students with a major in business administration.
The curriculum also emphasizes on combining management theory and practice. Students graduate from the Department should exhibit sufficient knowledge & skills in strategic management, financial management, marketing management, production & operation management, information management, technology management, human resource management, andrelated fields. For the purpose of providing more focusedcompetence in the future job requirements, the sub-majorcourses design are also provided.
The sub-major courses includethe competence in electronic commerce, financial management,strategic management, marketing & logistics, international busi-ness management, human resource management, and globallogistic management. In addition, the Department places emphasisand encourages students to pursue Mater's degree after finishinghis/her Bachelor's degree from the Department.
Graduate Program
Graduate Program
The objective of the Department's graduate program is to design and develop a relevant curriculum for training graduate students with the needed ability of middle and top managers. Both the problem solving and innovation abilities are included in our MBA and EMBA course design. The research methods and analytical capabilities are also offered in the graduate curriculum.The graduate thesis in management related field is needed in our graduate program.
